Clinton County's only Memorial Park opened in 1942 with the burial of Ethel Evanna Berry conducted on September 25, 1942. The Berry Family purchased four lots in 1941, at a total cost of one hundred dollars. The 40-acre tract was acquired by a partnership of local businessmen with the goal of offering a park unsurpassed in beauty and upkeep, a location of quiet and serene reflection, and a natural sanctuary for the memorialization of local families. Nestled outside the city of Lock Haven, the rolling property enhances nature's splendid beauty.

The cemetery is the final resting place for over 1000 area residents who have served our country since the Spanish-American War. Fittingly, the Clinton County Memorial Day program is held annually in the Veterans Garden.

While on the grounds of Rest Haven you will likely come across our population of animals, including deer, opossums, ground hogs, foxes, birds, rabbits and squirrels. The cemetery is an official Blue Bird habitat area. It is a sanctuary of today, paying tribute to life.

The cemetery is dedicated to serving families in the best possible manner with dignity, compassion and understanding.
